Thoughts 2 Ponder

Thoughts and Diaries of a Girl in her mid twenties… what could be more exciting?

The stars in the sky always seem so high.

Are they out of reach? Have you ever looked through a

moon roof at night? Your head leaned back looking at the stars

shining bright in the sky. Have you ever tried to follow one with your eyes, and you think

if you keep driving in circles that you may be able to catch up with it?

You cannot reach a star when you drive in curves, or circles.

The star only becomes closer to you if you drive straight ahead at a fast speed.

I think I iwll be driving faster from now on. I long for a star in my life. I long

for the feel of love and acceptance. I long for security. Hopefully I will keep following my star, that once felt so out of reach.

I am NOT a doctor, but I am someone who has suffered from insomnia in the past. ALOT of Americans work too hard, and do not get enough rest. Below are some tips and tricks that I do every night to help me fall asleep. Along with good diet and exercise, these steps should help.

 1. Pick a time that you want your body to sleep (different on weekends)- let’s call the time 12pm for examples sake.

2. DO NOT drink caffeine 4 hours before 12pm, also, do not eat anything HEAVY.

3. One hour before you want to go to sleep (11pm) drink a tall glass of skim milk, or low fat milk.

4. At 11pm take a warm shower, or better yet, a sit down bath… pour lavender bubbles in your bath, or use a calming bath gel. (lavender has proven calming effects).

5. Make sure you are sleeping in something cozy, and not too warm. (harsh materials make you wake up more often, and make it harder to fall asleep). Be sure and use the restroom RIGHT before you go to bed.

6. If you can, buy a blue lamp ( I use mine JUST at night..I keep it stored under my nightstand because it doesn’t match my room decor lol)…the soft blue will help ease you into sweet dreams.

7. Make sure that the temperature is cooler than you would normally have it (I have a box fan) the fan will provide noise, and keep your body cooler. If you do not have a fan, it helps to turn on classical music.

8. Make sure all noise and distractions are out of the way. Also, be sure that your room is well ventilated.

9. Lay down on your back, close your eyes and say a prayer (or a lil something in your mind) I you don’t pray, counting to 30 always helps.

10. Take a deep breath through your nose, and hold it inside for 20 seconds. EXHALE through your mouth, and pretend that you are exhaling all your stress and worries through your mouth. REPEAT this process or however long is needed.

nursing babies

These BEAUTIFUL baby “pinny-poos” were born at 12am on April 14, 2008 to a toy poodle (momma named Shirley), and a Mini-Pin (daddy named Rebel). There are 3 babies total, and 2 are boys, and ones a lil girl =) We are glad to have the little girl, because she almost did not make it. She was STUCK in the birth canal for 5 hours, and it was an act of Faith that she made it, so we call her “Faith”….

Aren’t they all so CUTE!!!!

For the most part, everything was ok, accept I got a DAMN DRY SOCKET in one of my sockets from a freakin peice of OATMEAL!!!!!! Ughhh, but all is well now. I went to the dentist, and they filled it with guaze and oil of cloves or something like that. The guaze is out now…and I am hoping for the best! Thank you for all your kind emails to me before and after my surgery! I appriciate that!

My wisdom teeth have been bothering me for over a year, and I havent had any health insurance, so I have just had to be dealing with the pain all this time. A month ago, my top right wisdom tooth broke open, and left the nerve exposed. As the weeks passed, it broke more and more. I have recently been in the ER over this, and finally got to see an oral surgeon today that is going to PULL them all out of my head tomorrow!!! YAY!!! FINALLY!!! But, I am kinda bein a baby about this. I have high blood pressure that I am not medicated for yet, and they say that its worse for people with high blood pressure. I am also not very good at taking meds like I am supposed to and worry that I may MISS a dose of something important lol. Another bad set back, is that I SMOKE cigarettes (yes, I know..BAD VANESSA! BAD!!). I have to go 72 hours w/o a cigg. Boy oh boy. Can I do that? We shall see… I guess I kinda have to huh? Well, thats my story for tonight, and I will keep you updated on my recovery!

In follow-up to my post titled “life Sux”, here is the outcome. Today at 9am we got served with eviction papers, and I almost lost it! We had been trying to borrow money from people left and right, and no one had that kind of money. I was crying, and shaking, and frantically throwing things in boxes because I knew we had to move. It had dawned on me that there was no option. Finally, I swallowed my pride, and called my mom. This is not something that I like to do, because every time I do, I feel like a failure, and that I am not good enough for them , and have miserably FAILED them as a daughter. Waa waa, poor me… SO they decided to help me by overnighting a money order to my apartments office. THANK GOD!!! This is such a releif. I just cannot wait to pay them back now, so I can get THAT weight off my shoulders lol. They said that this is the LAST time that they were going to help me, and I am positive that it will be the LAST time that I am ever in this kind of bind. This has been a nightmare. Completely!

I would also like to thank my friends who said that they “wished that they could help”, and the ones that told me that they loved me and that everything was going to be ok. I know that that was ALOT of money to come up with for me, but I didnt expect you guys to do that, and I love you for just being my friend.

Do you own a MySpace Resource site? I do, and unfortunatley ALL but ONE are “black-listed”. That means that whenever users click on a link via myspace to come to my sites they get a nasty WARNING letter that tells them never to give out their passwords on my sites because they could be bad….WHICH THEY ARE NOT! However, MySpace has whats called a “white-list” where people who have sites are safe and secure on that that list (do not receive that warning letter). Many people have speculated that the way to get on the “white-List” is to have one or more of the following:

- A large well-known site

- Gigya.com intact on your site

- Have a relationship with MySpace itself

Well, they funny thing is…. that the ONE site of mine that is on the white list is the site with the LOWEST hits, and I do not have gigya on that site, and I certainly do not have a relationship with myspace.

My question to you resource site owners, is…..How do you think we can all be on the white-list, and will this black-list HURT our traffic enough to close us down……Can we survive on seo? What do you think?

Ok so we moved out of our house in Cleburne into an apt in Fort Worth (because Cliff’s job was re-locating)…which is freakin hilarious, because Fort Worth is where we lived BEFORE he made us pick up and move in the FIRST place 2 months ago! Now, come to find out, Cliff has been laid off!!!!! Issues have made it to where I  have to come up with 1400.00 to pay this rent. We jumped into this because we thought Cliff would have the money to cover this…..but since he does not, I am afraid we will be evicted! I dont want to lose my beautiful apt !!! Its perfect for us!!! I am going to scope out ways to make money quickly, and i will post about it if I am successful. I have 14 days to do this. Wish me luck!

I have about 4 sites up and running that could be getting ALOT more traffic/Income than they do now. Currently I am working the hardest on The MySpace Addict. Here are some steps I have made to boost my traffic:

1) Link Exchanges with similar sites (about 50 to be exact)

2) Used My Link Box for traffic links

3) Made a Site Map

4) Indexed on Google, and submitted to search engines

5) Advertised on MySpace via bullitens and page links

Yet, I can get over 450 UV a day… how can I boost this..Anyone got any good tips?
